Ko Man Sik (played by Ji Jin Hee) is a straight-laced widower and a dedicated government employee with a past experience he couldn't forget. Kang Min Joo (played by Kim Hee Ae) is a single drama producer also with a past painful experience. Both characters have decided to stay single for the rest of their lives, but the two of them seem to be tied together by an invisible line and keep encountering each other through their jobs. This is the story of how they triumphed over their past and found love again at the same time. It teaches family values, forgiveness, faithfulness, and second chances.
I liked that it was not cheesy and there were no crazy, obsessive second leads. I eventually wound up liking the female rival characters Min Ji Sun (played by Stephanie Lee) and Han Song Yi (played by Ko Bo Gyeol). Along with the other side stories, it reiterates the old adage that in love age doesn't matter. Anyone can fall in love no matter how young or how old.
Choi Soo Ah (played by Kim Ha Neul) is a veteran flight attendant married to Park Jin Seok (played by Shin Sung Rok), a pilot. Theirs is a loveless marriage with their daughter always being left alone because both of her parents are busy working. They decide to send her abroad where she meets Annie. It is then that Seo Do Woo (played by Lee Sang Yoon) and Choi Soo Ah's lives begin to intertwine with the airport serving as the setting of their numerous encounters.
At first I thought it was going to be boring because the main characters were so timid. What spiced things up and kept me interested was wondering if they were ever going to divorce their spouses and get together. There was also the mystery behind Annie's identity and why her mother (played by Jang Hee Jin) was trying so hard to keep it a secret. I admire how the writer went about revealing this. The only thing I didn't appreciate was there were too many flashback scenes that were repeated over and over again throughout the drama that were a little tiresome to watch. I like how the ending was executed. They took their time with it and didn't leave any questions unanswered. Overall a nice mellow drama.
Cha Seung Hyuk (played by Ryu Si Won) used to be a famous fighter who married Kang Sun Ah (played by Hong Soo Hyun) who gave up being a nun for him. He became even more popular because of that. Five years later, he has fallen out of love for his wife and has found his first love again. Hoping to rekindle his romance with his first love, he decides to divorce his wife. The story doesn't end there. I don't want to give out any spoilers so you'll have to watch it and see if they really divorce or not and what happens next.
This is a really fun and lighthearted drama. They really had chemistry and the acting chops. The other characters were comedic too. The only characters you would love to hate are Oh Hyang Gi (played by Park Ji Yoon) and her sister Oh Hyang Eun (played by Jo Hye Soo), but that just means they really acted well as the villains in this drama. Even though it was filmed in 2012, I would still recommend that you don't miss watching this. I would watch it again myself if there weren't so many new dramas to watch.
Do Hyun Woo (played by Lee sun Kyun) was a TV producer and a good husband. He thought his marriage was perfect until one day when he accidentally read a man's text message to his wife (played by Song Ji Hyo). He began suspecting his wife was having an affair. Suddenly, his seemingly perfect life didn't seem perfect after all and everything turned upside down.
I was already hooked after the first few episodes wondering whether or not his wife was truly cheating on him. The story gives an aspect of adultery from a man's point of view. There were a lot of hilarious moments and great lines with tidbits of wisdom. Even if it was only 12 episodes, I was really satisfied with the ending. A funny, lighthearted take on adultery without missing out on the serious side of it.
